DETROIT – It’s crunch time for the Detroit Lions as their division lead shrinks and one of the hottest teams in the league comes to town.

When the Lions lost to the Bears last week, their lead over the Vikings in the NFC North dropped to two games. It’s the closest the division has been in months, and with two head-to-head meetings coming up, Minnesota is very much alive.

Detroit desperately needs to bounce back on Saturday against a Denver team that has won six of its past seven games. As big as this game is for the Lions, it’s even more important for the Broncos, who sit in a six-way tie for the final two AFC wildcard spots.
