NEW YORK – The Detroit Tigers game against the Mets on Tuesday has been postponed due to weather.

A.J. Hinch mentioned after Monday night’s victory that some of his bullpen usage was influenced by the impending rain in New York. Both Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s games seemed to be in danger heading into this week.

Well, Game 2 of the series has officially been postponed. We’ll see if the rainy forecast for Wednesday leads to the same outcome for the finale.

The Tigers and Mets will make up the first game Thursday (April 4) at 1:10 p.m. Both teams are off before the Tigers head home and the Mets travel to Cincinnati this weekend.

It’s a bad time for a rainout, as the Tigers have won their first four games. Casey Mize was scheduled to make his first MLB start since an injury in April 2022 sidelined him for the better part of two seasons.
