Purdue looks to build on the positives from its Week 1 loss when it hosts Ohio in the first Friday night game at Ross-Ade Stadium.
The Boilermakers fell short in their upset bid of No. 16 Louisville as they dropped a 35-28 decision to the Cardinals in Indianapolis, but the 24.5-point underdogs were competitive for four quarters, and they hope to take another step in the right direction by notching their first win under new coach Jeff Brohm.

Brohm revealed that he will continue to rotate quarterbacks until one separates himself from the other after David Blough and Elijah Sindelar each threw a pair touchdown passes against Louisville.
"The plan is to keep playing them and let it play out," Brohm told reporters. "I think both guys will compete and get better and hopefully it makes our team better."
The Boilermakers are 7-0 all-time against Ohio, although the two teams haven't met since 1998, and they hope to extend their winning streak in home openers to 14 in a row. The Bobcats started the season by mauling FCS opponent Hampton 59-0, but gear up for their first true test of the young season with the hope of knocking off a Big Ten foe for the first time since upsetting Penn State 24-14 in 2012.

Sophomore quarterback Quinton Maxwell completed 7-of-9 passes for 100 yards and a score while his backup Nathan Rourke added three touchdowns on the ground in the win against Hampton. Julian Ross rushed for a pair of touchdowns while Dorian Brown and Dylan Wears each added a TD on the ground as the Bobcats ran for seven touchdowns, the most since 2002 when they had six against Kent State.
"I was pleased with the running game and our linemen," Ohio head coach Frank Solich told reporters. "I have to go watch the film but I think they did a pretty good job up front."

Junior running back Markell Jones sat out the second half with a knee injury and will be out of action for up to two weeks while defensive tackle Lorenzo Neal will miss the first half against Ohio after he was ejected for targeting in the third quarter of the loss to Louisville. Sindelar received the starting nod against the Cardinals and threw for 118 yards while Blough, who was last season's starter but missed two weeks of fall camp with a shoulder injury, finished with 175 yards passing.
The Boilermakers have a potential number one receiver in freshman Jackson Anthrop, who hailed in seven catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns in the opener.
