Jamie Edmonds

Sports anchor/reporter

Jamie Edmonds was drafted by the Local 4 sports team in January 2013. She anchors sports coverage Saturdays at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m., and on Sunday at 6 p.m., in addition to hosting Sports Final Edition. She also is an Emmy-nominated reporter who works on sports and news stories weekly. 

Prior to joining WDIV, Jamie was a sports anchor/reporter at WEYI/NBC25 in Flint where she covered local, college and Detroit teams. Before that, she worked for several years in Lansing at WILX-TV covering a little bit of everything.

Jamie is a graduate of the University of Delaware where she and her figure skating team won a national title in 2002. Jamie then went on to receive a graduate degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. Her nearly 15 years in broadcasting includes two Michigan Association of Broadcasters “best sportscast" awards. She’s also been nominated twice for Michigan Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association.
