Draymond Green mourns Adreian Payne, will donate $100K to honor MSU teammate
For once, Draymond Green didn’t have much to say. But he’s letting some of his actions speak loudly in the aftermath of the death of a former friend and teammate. The former Michigan State star played an NBA playoff game on Monday night, hours after learning that Adreian Payne was killed in a shooting in Florida. “I call on my Spartan family, coach Izzo, Magic, Jaren Jackson, Miles Bridges, Mat Ishbia, all of my Spartan family to come in and let’s do something in honor of Adreian,” Green said. Both went on to the NBA, and Green for 10 seasons and counting with the Warriors and Payne for four seasons with the Timberwolves, Hawks and Magic before playing overseas.
