Red Wings intrigued by draft pick Alex Cotton’s offensive spike
Alex Cotton experienced a rare offensive surge for a defenseman between his first and second season of major junior hockey. That made him an intriguing prospect for the Detroit Red Wings to select in the fifth round of this year’s draft. He said the Red Wings were the first team that talked to him during the season and they kept in touch throughout the year. I’m going to focus on getting better throughout the year and after that hopefully can join the Red Wings organization.”More: Jeff Blashill breaks down Red Wings’ new additions, others
