Ypsilanti couple to stand trial for resisting and obstructing police in shooting investigation

LANSING, MI - The Ypsilanti Township woman who was punched by a Washtenaw County sheriff’s deputy will stand trial with her husband for resisting and obstructing police in a 2020 shooting investigation. Sha’Teina Grady El faces three felony charges, including three counts of resisting and obstructing an officer, one count for causing injury to an officer for her resistance and one count for malicious destruction of police property. Daniyal Grady El faces two felony counts for resisting and obstructing an officer, with the maximum punishment being four years in prison.
