A 28-year-old Birmingham woman who worked for Michigan’s Unemployment Insurance Agency has been charged with defrauding the unemployment system and stealing thousands of dollars. Mims also claimed federal unemployment benefits for herself while working for the UIA, duping the system to show she was unemployed.
