Country music fans can enjoy a double-headliner show at Jackson’s Michigan Theatre
JACKSON, MI — Country singer-songwriters are coming to Jackson’s Michigan Theatre to share the stage for a co-headlining show at the Michigan Theatre. Country Boots and Bands, a concert series that brings nationally known artists to Jackson, is bringing Jamey Johnson and Randy Houser for a night of country music, stories and laughs during the Country Cadillac Tour Part 2 at 7 p.m. Friday, March 25, at the Michigan Theatre, 124 N. Mechanic St.“We’re excited to be having two of country music’s great artists perform in Jackson,” said Scott Vitale, event promoter for Raine Productions, Country Boots and Bands. 1 hits with his album, “How Country Feels” and earned critical acclaim for the CMA Song of the Year-nominated “Like A Cowboy.”Tickets will be on sale starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21. Locash was set to perform in March 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, forcing a cancellation, said Country Boots and Bands promoter Scott Vitale. Mechanic St. Tickets previously purchased for the March 2020 show will be honored for the rescheduled concert, Vitale said. JACKSON, MI - Country Boots and Bands is honoring first responders with a free concert for the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. During his time as a firefighter, he said co-workers took shifts for him when an opportunity pursue his music ambitions. The free concert allows Braden to return the favor. Any law enforcement officer, firefighter or EMT can email Country Boots and Bands to obtain a ticket for themselves and one guest at countybootsandbands@gmail.com. Those requesting tickets must provide their name, agency, phone number, and email address.

Musicians struggling through pandemic get chance to perform at reinvented Arts, Beats & Eats festival
OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. The Arts, Beats and Eats Festival in Royal Oak may have been canceled because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, but organizers are still working to help local artists. A Go Fund Me campaign has launched to support musicians, with Oakland County planning to match every dollar raised. But you cant take t-shirts back, cant take CDs back, so were kind of tied up, said Pauly Brady with Stone Clover Band. The Stone Clover Band will be performing and raising money to help out with costs and bills that have been piling up. Theyre also doing art shows by appointment and sending food trucks into Oakland County neighborhoods.
