Chef shows how to cook up Pad Thai

A Thai restaurant in Dearborn is offering free lunches on Friday as many Metro Detroit communities continue to go without power following a mid-week winter storm.

DETROIT – The holiday was much quieter Thursday for most Metro Detroiters. “It’s a great time to give back to the city.”For years, Vang has volunteered to cook for families in need during Thanksgiving. The free meals were given away at the third annual “Full Plates, Full Hearts” event. The Detroit Shipping Company and both the Michigan and Detroit restaurant and lodging associations hosted the event. “Don’t take life for granted, that’s what I want him to take from today,” Jackson said.
