OKC Thunder Hold On To Beat Pistons 114-107

DETROIT (AP) Danilo Gallinari made a crucial 3-pointer in the final minute, and the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Detroit Pistons 114-107 on Wednesday night despite blowing a 16-point second-half lead. The depleted Pistons rallied in the fourth quarter and took a 103-102 advantage after a 3-pointer by Svi Mykhailiuk. There was no whistle, and Gallinari made a 3 with 21.6 seconds remaining to put the Thunder up 111-107. Saw (Gallinari) open and you just make the right play.Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 27 points for Oklahoma City, which snapped out of its brief scoring slump. TIP-INSThunder: Oklahoma City shot 61% from the field for the game, even after scoring only 20 points in the fourth quarter.

Pistons Ship Andre Drummond To The Cavs

In the final hour before the NBA trading deadline, Cleveland acquired two-time All-Star center Andre Drummond from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for forward John Henson, guard Brandon Knight and the less favorable of its two second-round draft picks in 2023. But by landing Drummond, who leads the league in rebounding, the Cavs helped themselves in the short-term and positioned themselves for the future. The 26-year-old Drummond has a $28.7 million player option in his contract for next season. The 28-year-old is making $15.6 million this season, his final one on a five-year, $70 million deal. Preview: Detroit Pistons at Boston Celtics

DETROIT – The Detroit Pistons travel to Boston on Wednesday to face the Celtics at TD Garden. The Pistons (8-22) are coming off of a 99-95 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night. Rookie guard Brandon Knight also had a productive night for the Pistons as he scored 16 points. The Celtics and Pistons last met Dec. 30 in Boston where the home team won 96-85. The Pistons have dropped the past four meetings at TD Garden and six of the past seven against the Celtics overall.

DETROIT – The Detroit Pistons are on a two-game winning streak which began after losing to the New Jersey Nets this past week. The Pistons (6-20) return to New Jersey on Wednesday night to face a Nets (8-19) team that has lost three straight. In their previous meeting, New Jersey won 99-96. Detroit Rookie Brandon Knight broke his nose Saturday night against the New Orleans Hornets. The Pistons will back at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Friday to begin a three-game home stint and finish up a home-and-home with the Nets.
