Chiefs keep things fun with Mahomes' playground plays
Wait a minute — those are the plays Patrick Mahomes has been drawing up. For the second time this season, the Chiefs used a play dreamed up by their quarterback in Sunday's win over Tampa Bay. Kelce had Mahomes open, but had his wobbly pass batted into the turf. “It keeps the guys alive,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said this week. “We're trying to be creative, have fun out there, enjoy it day-in and day-out,” Mahomes said.

It was not immediately known when the team would be able to travel to Kansas City for the game, which was scheduled for Sunday afternoon, if at all. Players, coaches and staff who were in close contact with him were tested Saturday morning and all were negative, the team said in a statement. The statement said the team is consulting with the league and medical specialists “regarding our scheduled trip to Kansas City and game against the Chiefs.”___More AP NFL: https://apnews.com/NFL and https://twitter.com/AP_NFL
