Nearly 80% of early bettors rolling with short-handed Vikings against winless Lions in Week 13
ALLEN PARK -- The Minnesota Vikings (5-6) are missing several pieces on both sides of the ball, including star running back Dalvin Cook. Still, that’s not swaying oddsmakers or early bettors ahead of the Detroit Lions-Vikings Week 13 game back at Ford Field. Oddsmakers are giving the Vikings seven points heading into this one, and nearly 80% of early bettors are rolling with the favorites per the Action Network. The Lions, despite being 0-10-1 and the league’s only winless team are among the best against the spread at 7-4. When it rains: Frank Ragnow out ‘pretty long time,’ Penei Sewell banged up too heading into Vikings game
That has forced Sewell to move to left tackle, after the 20-year-old spent the entire offseason learning to play right tackle. He’ll be limited if he practices at all on Wednesday and his status for the Minnesota game is unclear. “I know he’s trying to get back as fast as he can,” offensive line coach Hank Fraley said. Matt Nelson has started the first four games at right tackle, and will continue to play one of the tackle positions. Vikings trade DE Yannick Ngakoue to Ravens for draft picks
MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota Vikings traded defensive end Yannick Ngakoue to the Baltimore Ravens for draft picks on Thursday, less than two months after acquiring the fifth-year pass rusher in a deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Ravens (5-1) could use Ngakoue to enhance a pass rush that has been productive of late but could use the help. The Ravens are fourth in the league in sacks per pass attempt. “We are excited to add Yannick Ngakoue to our football team,” Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said. “Yannick is someone who we are very familiar with going back to the draft process years ago.
Rodgers at ease as Packers roll past Vikings 43-34
Davante Adams was predictably the biggest beneficiary, with a career-high, franchise-record-tying 14 catches for 156 yards and two scores. When LG Lucas Patrick (shoulder) was forced out in the second quarter, Jenkins moved back to his original spot and free agent addition Rick Wagner entered at RT. ... Jags 'feel good with compensation' from Vikings for Ngakoue
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. The Jacksonville Jaguars never got the first-round draft pick they wanted for pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue. Jacksonville dealt Ngakoue to Minnesota on Sunday in exchange for a second-round draft pick in 2021 and a conditional fifth-rounder in 2022. And at the end of the day, when youre a coach and youre sitting there, its almost like you feel like youre in the middle, Marrone said. He will give the Vikings a young, proven pass rusher opposite star Danielle Hunter, one whose work ethic and intensity have always been among the most respected in Jacksonvilles locker room. Jacksonville also selected Ngakoues replacement, Josh Allen from Kentucky, with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 draft and added pass rusher KLavon Chaisson this year.
