Riverview man who allegedly held knife to girlfriend’s throat charged with domestic violence
RIVERVIEW, Mich. – Riverview resident Kyle Duke, 21, was arrested on Sunday for physically assaulting his 19-year-old girlfriend from Garden City. On Sunday at around 5 p.m. officers were called to an apartment complex in the 17000 block of Fort Street in Riverview. Duke allegedly repeatedly punched and kicked his girlfriend to prevent her from calling police for help. The victim stated that Duke held a knife to her throat. We’re grateful that the victim’s injuries were not more significant given the alleged involvement of a knife during the incident.

NCAA to play all 67 March Madness men's games in Indiana
The NCAA announced Monday, Jan. 4, 2020, that this year's 67 men's basketball tournament games including the Final Four will be played entirely in Indiana. Games will be played on two courts inside Lucas Oil Stadium as well as at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Hinkle Fieldhouse, Indiana Farmers Coliseum, Mackey Arena at Purdue and Assembly Hall in Bloomington. Only one game at a time will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium. Ball State, Butler, Indiana, IUPUI, Purdue and the Horizon League will co-host the tournament and NCAA officials say most games will be played in Indianapolis. The Final Four had already been scheduled to take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in April.

(CNN) - Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will take a break from royal duties towards the end of the year, dividing their time between the US and the UK, a royal source has told CNN. "I don't know where we could live in Africa at the moment," Harry told reporter Tom Bradby in the short snippet of the documentary. A royal source told CNN there were no firm plans yet and so could not confirm the length of time the couple would take away from the public eye. Meghan is suing British newspaper Mail on Sunday for publishing a selectively edited version version of a private letter Meghan sent to her father. In the documentary, "Harry & Meghan: An African Journey," Harry also says every camera flash takes him "straight back" to the death of his mother, Princess Diana, who died in 1997 when her car crashed as it was being chased by a paparazzo on a motorbike.
Plane carrying Prince William and Kate forced to abort landing
(CNN) - A British Royal Air Force plane carrying the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was forced to abandon landing twice in Pakistan due to bad weather on Thursday. Prince William and his wife Kate are on a five-day official visit to the country. When an approach was finally made around an hour later, severe turbulence shook the aircraft and the plane aborted its attempt to land. The aircraft was converted by the British Royal Air Force to provide VIP transport for government officials and the royal family. Despite the rocky end to the day, the duke -- a former air ambulance pilot -- was in good spirits and went to the back of the plane to see journalists after landing.
