OTTAWA COUNTY, MI -- A body found in a Coopersville storm drain is believed to be a man who went missing Aug. 13. Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies said construction workers in the area of Sunset Street and Center Street noticed the body about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31. Members of an Ottawa County Technical Rescue Team and the Coopersville Department of Public Works removed the body. Deputies said they believe the body is that of 28-year-old Erik Johnson, who was last seen Aug. 13 near the 400 block of Danforth Street in Coopersville. Deputies earlier said they believed Johnson was disoriented and may have sought shelter from the weather hours after he went missing.
