Fire truck involved in crash had lights, sirens on
DETROIT – One person is in critical condition and a firefighter remains hospitalized after a Monday evening crash between a Mercedes sedan and a fire truck that had its lights and sirens on in route to a fire, FOX 2 Detroit reports. The collision caused the truck to spin out of control. The truck came to a rest when it struck a residence. The driver of a Mercedes, a 50-year-old woman, is in critical condition. Four firefighters were injured; three have been released from the hospital while one remains hospitalized for observation.

Firefighters from Squad 6 were on their way to a high rise fire when they got into a car crash at East Forest and McClellan. The fire truck and a Mercedes collided, the truck then hit a utility pole bringing it down on an SUV with the fire truck ultimately coming to a stop in the side of a house.
Gunshots strike Michigan fire truck leaving station
DETROIT – Someone fired five gunshots at a Detroit fire truck that was leaving its station to respond to an emergency on Saturday evening, April 10. No one was injured in the attack but the emergency vehicle did sustain damage, WXYZ Detroit reports. The fire truck then passed the Chevy and that’s when five gunshots were heard; five shell casings were found at the scene. LINCOLN PARK, Mich. Michigan State Police assisted Lincoln Park Police officers on I-75 Friday night with a two-vehicle crash. According to authorities, a semi truck hit a fire truck on northbound I-75, near Dixie Highway. Police said the crash injured two fire fighters -- one is in critical condition and one has serious injuries.
