Tom Izzo and former Spartans witness Draymond Green win fourth NBA title with Warriors
The former Michigan State star helped lead the Golden State Warriors to a 103-90 victory on the road against the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday. Michigan State coach Tom Izzo and his son, Steven, along with former Spartans Mat Ishbia, Mateen Cleaves, Steve Smith, Morris Peterson, Kelvin Torbert, Antonio Smith and others were at TD Garden to see the series clinching game. Although Green left Michigan State a decade ago as the National Player of the Year in 2012, he has remained close with Izzo and the program. Green became the 10th player in Michigan State history to have their jersey retired when his No. Green, a Saginaw native, was a second-round pick by Golden State in the 2012 NBA draft and is now a four-time All-Star.

Golden State Warriors Draymond Green was ejected from Game 1 of the second-round playoffs against the Memphis Grizzlies for making contact with Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke's face and then pulling down Clarke's jersey. Before leaving the FedExForum court, Green danced around and encouraged the Grizzlies fans to react. Green also flipped off Grizzlies fans for booing him as blood ran down his face after he took an elbow to the eye.
