Harper Woods Police are investigating after a 17-year-old was shot when a fight broke out at the end of the Harper Woods High School playoff game against Chandler Park Academy Friday night.

Police are investigating a possible shooting following a high school football game in Harper Woods.

A teen student at Harper Woods High School was arrested after a staff member reported he was carrying a handgun in his backpack.

Officials have provided updates on 11 students from Detroit, Wyandotte, Harper Woods and Waterford Township who were either charged or taken into custody for school threats.

Two girls are in custody after calling Harper Woods High School staff and threatening to bring guns to the school and start shooting, officials said.
