Hawks star Young ejected after hard ball toss to referee
Trae Young was ejected in the third quarter of the Atlanta Hawks' game against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday after heaving the ball hard to referee Scott Wall. After Hawks coach Quin Snyder called a timeout in the third quarter with the game tied at 84, Young first bounced the ball and then threw a two-handed hard pass at Wall, who caught the ball. Young was immediately called for a technical foul and ejected.

Duane Washington Jr. has signed a multiyear contract with the Indiana Pacers. That’s what ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported this week about the former Grand Rapids Christian and Ohio State standout. Washington left Ohio State early, went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft before signing an undrafted free agent two-way contract with the Pacers. He has played in 46 games for the Pacers this season and is averaging 9.6 points and over 20 minutes a game. He then headed to Ohio State where he averaged 11.4 points in his 48-game career.
