In a recent report from The Action News, the 23-year-old ranked among the top 10 hardest-working players in the 2021-22 NBA season. Bey ranked ninth on the list that included Phoenix Suns forward Mikal Bridges, Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges and Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton. Duane Washington Jr. has signed a multiyear contract with the Indiana Pacers. That’s what ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported this week about the former Grand Rapids Christian and Ohio State standout. Washington left Ohio State early, went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft before signing an undrafted free agent two-way contract with the Pacers. He has played in 46 games for the Pacers this season and is averaging 9.6 points and over 20 minutes a game. He then headed to Ohio State where he averaged 11.4 points in his 48-game career.

NBA reveals All-Star skills, 3-point, dunk participants

The NBA revealed the 15 players Tuesday who will be taking part in the other on-court events besides the All-Star Game in Atlanta, with the overwhelming majority of them pulling double-duty between those competitions and the game itself. They’ll be joined by Portland’s Robert Covington, the only current NBA player who is a graduate of a historically Black college and university. It will be held at halftime of the All-Star Game, while the skills competition and 3-point contest will occur pregame. Atlanta, Charlotte, Cleveland, Detroit, Houston, Memphis, Miami, Minnesota, Oklahoma City, Sacramento, San Antonio and Toronto have no one participating in All-Star night events.
Shorthanded Pistons falter in third quarter in loss to Pacers
Playing without centers Mason Plumlee and Jahlil Okafor Thursday, the Detroit Pistons’ depth was depleted, and so was their margin of error. The game was tied 52-52 at the half, before a third-quarter lull cost the Pistons, as the Pacers outscored them 30-18 to take control. The Pistons made just five of their 28 3-point attempts, while the Pacers shot 45.2 percent (14-of-31) from three. The Pistons did have some big help from Josh Jackson, who ended the night with 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists. With the absence of Plumlee, the Pistons may turn to the second-year forward and Griffin at center for more minutes.

Former Pistons point guard Chauncey Billups reportedly set to join Clippers as assistant
Former Detroit Pistons point guard Chauncey Billups will reportedly add “coach” to his resume. The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that the NBA Champion would join the Los Angeles Clippers. The team made the decision to promote assistant coach Ty Lue to the head coach. New Clippers head coach Ty Lue’s coaching staff will include: NBA champion, ’04 Finals MVP and five-time All-Star Chauncey Billups and former Hawks/Bucks/Cavaliers head coach Larry Drew, per source. Billups had also expressed interest in possibly becoming a general manager of an NBA team.
