The Concert of Colors returns July 16 through 20, bringing global music, dance and culture to the heart of the city all for free.

The free festival runs through Sunday in Metro Detroit

As part of a lively music festival that is currently in its 30th year, tens of thousands of people continue to visit Detroit.

Starting Wednesday and running through next Thursday is a cultural concert event in Midtown that draws tens of thousands of people every year. Concert of Colors is headlined Saturday, July 12th, by the Don Was All Star Review. He joined us in the studio Wednesday with the founder of the Concert of Colors, Ismael Ahmed. The Concert of Colors is free to attend and kicks off Wednesday outside the Detroit Symphony Orchestra with a big street party.
