Guardians-Yankees rained out, to play ALDS Game 5 on Tuesday
The decisive Game 5 of the AL Division Series between the Cleveland Guardians and New York Yankees has been postponed by rain after a 2 1/2-hour delay and rescheduled for Tuesday at 4:07 p.m. Both teams took batting practice ahead of the scheduled 7:07 p.m. start.

Oscar Gonzalez singled in the go-ahead run with Cleveland’s second straight bloop hit in the 10th inning, and the Guardians overcame a two-run deficit to beat the New York Yankees 4-2 and even their best-of-five AL Division Series at one game apiece.
Tigers finish game by retiring 20 straight, but still fall to Guardians
DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers retired the final 20 batters of the game but couldn’t muster enough offense, falling to the Cleveland Guardians 3-2 on Wednesday night at Comerica Park. The first-place Guardians (58-52) will go for the three-game sweep against the Tigers (43-69) on Thursday afternoon. The Tigers announced two hours before the game that general manager Al Avila had been dismissed. Tigers starter Drew Hutchison gave up a run in the first and two in the second, but then retired the final eight batters he faced.
