Ramirez, the first player born in Nicaragua to pitch for the Tigers, signed a minor-league contract with the Tigers prior to spring training. He went 1-1 with a 5.74 ERA in 26 2/3 innings with the big-league club, walking five and striking out 20. But he got a late-season invite to the Tigers’ alternate training site in 2020 and then impressed new manager A.J. The Tigers will activate right-handed pitcher Jose Ureña to start Saturday’s game.
