Beach Bar is back for summer season at Clark Lake after four-month hiatus
CLARK LAKE, MI -- Clark Lake’s iconic Beach Bar restaurant has reopened after a temporary closure. The Beach Bar & Restaurant, 3505 Ocean Beach Road, reopened Wednesday, April 7, after closing in November 2020. Beach Bar management took the four months to make renovations inside and expansions to the outside patios, all while maintaining the restaurant’s classic character. “So we did some change, but we did not remove the character of the Beach Bar. Pistons’ 17-point lead slips by in OT loss to Hawks
ATLANTA (AP) — Trae Young scored 38 points, John Collins had 31 and the Atlanta Hawks rallied to beat Jerami Grant and the Detroit Pistons 123-115 in overtime on Wednesday night. Young scored 21 points in the third period, when Atlanta charged back after trailing by 14 points. After Young’s three-point play cut Detroit’s lead to 81-78, the Pistons scored the final 11 points of the period, including six by Grant. Capela’s three-point play gave Atlanta a 116-113 lead it wouldn’t lose. Clark Lake’s Beach Bar only temporarily closing, owner says“I’m trying to open up for a little bit, see some faces, some people, sell some soup, some gift cards,” Owner John Collins said. Gift cards and a limited selection of sweatshirts, T-shirts, long-sleeved T-shirts and hats will also be for sale. People should come early if they want to make sure they get some soup, Collins said. Detroit Historical Museum to celebrate 20 years of electronic music festivals with new photography exhibit

Leaving the house?To satiate our electronic music FOMO and celebrate what would have been the 20th anniversary of Detroit's famed Movement Electronic Music Festival (formerly DEMF), the Detroit Historical Museum will display photographs spanning each year of the city's festival history.Movement, which draws an estimated 25,000 each day during its standing Memorial Day weekend slot, was postponed until September before organizers officially canceled its 2020 iteration due to the coronavirus.The exhibitionwill open in the Robert and Mary Ann Bury Community Gallery starting Saturday, Sep. 26, and will remain on display until spring 2021.
