The Jazz -- composed of Utah players Jordan Clarkson, Walker Kessler and Collin Sexton -- won the Skills Challenge on Saturday night, prevailing in two of the three competitions. “It feels good, especially to do it in front of the home team,” Sexton said. The Rooks were second, with Orlando’s Paolo Banchero, Detroit’s Jaden Ivey and Houston’s Jabari Smith Jr. getting 100 points. It ended with the Team Shooting event — worth 200 points — with the Jazz prevailing there to clinch the win.

This matchup between Eastern and Western Conference contenders lost some luster when the Nets James Harden was scratched due to a sore neck. At halftime, the Jazz led 63-38 – the lowest scoring first half of the season for Brooklyn. Even with all their stars, the Nets have struggled defensively this season and relied on their supercharged offense to get their wins.

Golden State found some footing on offense behind Curry’s efforts, after missing nine of its first 10 shots. Curry scored four baskets and assisted on five others to help the Warriors cut the Jazz lead to 36-28.

Mike Conley scored 20 points and Jordan Clarkson had 19 for Utah, which has the longest active win streak in the NBA.
