Western Michigan’s Dan Bartholomae has been hired as Michigan State’s athletic director.

Michigan State University announced a $1 billion capital initiative with a goal of upgrading Spartan Stadium, the Breslin Center, and other facilities.

After a national search, Jason “J” Batt has been appointed as the next director of athletics at Michigan State University.

In the interim, Deputy Athletic Director Jennifer Smith and men’s basketball coach Tom Izzo will serve as acting athletic directors.
