A South Korean man was caught on video going into a Royal Oak church, smashing the head of a Virgin Mary statue on the ground and then stabbing the statue several times with a flag pole.

A community is coming together in prayer after a man broke into a Royal Oak church last week, causing damage -- particularly to an old religious statue.

A South Korean man has been charged after police say they found him damaging property inside and outside of a Royal Oak church.

DETROIT – Eight senior citizens were sent to the hospital, three in critical condition due to a fire Sunday at the 16-story Parkview Place Apartment building.
