A 17-year-old Pontiac resident who was arrested three months ago on the grounds of Lake Orion High School while in possession of a machete and several knives is in custody for making a threat against a student at the same school.

A 16-year-old student at Lake Orion High School was arrested Tuesday after making a threat that many people were going to die in a shooting at the school.

A 16-year-old boy from the United Kingdom was arrested after he pretended to be the suspected Oxford High School shooter while calling in threats to several Oakland County schools, police said.

Officials are investigating after threats were made toward three Oakland County schools. The threats have been deemed not credible, according to investigators.

Security devices that were installed at Oxford High School just a few years ago may have prevented the shooter from taking even more lives.

A junior at Lake Orion High School has been arrested for threatening to shoot up the school one day after the deadly shooting at Oxford High School, police said.
