An employee of Jefferson Middle School in St. Clair Shores has been arrested in connection to a threat directed at the school.

The names of the candidates are James Baker, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, Lakeview School District, Battle Creek, MI; Dr. Mary Ann Cyr, Assistant Superintendent, Taylor School District, Taylor, MI; Dr. Youssef Mosallam, Executive Director of Community Partnerships, College and Career Readiness Achievement, Dearborn Public Schools, Dearborn, MI, Ph. It is important for the community to be involved in this process, Crestwood School Board Trustee Nadia Berry said. There will be comment cards available for the public and every board member will have a copy from these cards, Berry said. Trustee Salwa Fawaz also told The Arab American News that the presence of the community is integral in the process of appointing a new superintendent for Crestwoods school district.
