Man charged in death of Michigan man, non-fatal shooting of girl, 17
DETROIT – A 25-year-old Hamtramck man is charged in connection with the shooting of two people, which resulted in the death of one of them, authorities announced. Jerry Mitchell Hughes, 25, of Hamtramck, is charged in the fatal shooting of Lamar Miller, 23, of Detroit, and the non-fatal-shooting of a 17-year-old female victim. Detroit police officers were dispatched around 9:40 p.m. on Friday, April 15, to a residence on the 12350 block of Dickerson Street in Detroit for a reported shooting. The female victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
