Ada’s new $12 million community center, library now open to the public
ADA TOWNSHIP, MI -- The new, $12 million Amy Van Andel Library – Ada Community Center is now open to the public. The two-story, 25,786-square-foot building near Amway headquarters received a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony Thursday morning, May 13, with the community center portion of the building now officially open to the public. The library portion, which is managed by the Kent District Library, opened earlier this year in limited capacity due to the pandemic. The community center portion features multiple rooms and spaces for small scale meetings and gatherings, as well as a dedicated meeting spaces that can accommodate groups of up to 75 people and feature onsite technology. The library is named after Amy Van Andel, the wife of Steve Van Andel, current co-chief executive of Amway Corp. and son of Amway co-founder Jay Van Andel.mlive.com
