The Livingston County Board of Commissioners approved the resolution Monday after listening to two hours of public comment.

The Livingston County Board of Commissioners and the public will sound off Monday night on a non-binding resolution supporting the Second Amendment.

After Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed gun reform legislation that includes universal background checks and safe storage requirements, Livingston County plans to push back with a resolution.

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mich. – The mask debate has found its way to Livingston County. Commissioners there approved a resolution to rescind the mandatory mask rule inside county buildings. It included a mandatory mask rule for those working and visiting county buildings. Since May it’s been mandatory to wear a mask inside county buildings, but County Commissioner Wes Nakagiri says that rule should be revisited. It states the mask mandate inside county buildings was predicated on unconstitutional orders from the governor.
