Ann Arbor’s Neutral Zone receives $2 million from Mackenzie Scott
ANN ARBOR, MI -- Ann Arbor’s Neutral Zone has recently received a donation of $2 million from philanthropists Mackenzie Scott and Dan Jewett. Mackenzie Scott announced on Tuesday, June 15 that she has donated about $2.7 billion to 286 organizations, according to her website. Neutral Zone was notified about three weeks ago that they would be receiving this donation, Roddey said. The donation from Scott is the largest single gift they’ve received from a donor, she said. It typically takes Neutral Zone a year to raise $1.2 million from donations, and this boost gives them flexibility to look at what their organization needs moving forward, Roddey said.
