Tigers lineup: Javier Baez starting in series opener against Texas
DETROIT -- Javier Baez will return to the starting line on Thursday as the Detroit Tigers open a four-game series against the Texas Rangers. Baez was off on Wednesday as the Tigers lost 13-0 to the Chicago White Sox. Right-handed hitting catcher Eric Haase will get a second consecutive start behind the plate. In addition to Meadows, catcher Tucker Barnhart and infielder/outfielder Kody Clemens will be available off the bench. Rookie right-hander Beau Brieske (1-5, 4.34) will start for the Tigers.
