The City of Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation department is looking to fill several part-time and full-time positions for summer camps, city pools, golf courses, canoe liveries, parks and the water treatment plant.

ChurchillFor The Monroe NewsThe Milan City Council recently discussed a proposal to purchase a little more than three acres of vacant property north of the CVS Pharmacy to build a new regional fire department. The Milan Area Fire Department includes the City of Milan, Milan Township, part of London Township and part of York Township. Milan City Council heard about the proposal during a regular meeting recently. For years, the fire department has dealt with trains blocking Wabash Street as fire trucks headed south into Milan Township. "The issue isn’t the condition of the building," Hamden replied, referring to the present fire hall close to Milan’s downtown.
