PAVEL DATSYUK

Dear Red Wings: Recalling the magical 2012-13 playoff run with two epic game 7s

Detroit increased its playoff streak to 22 seasons, the longest active streak at the time.

Pavel Datsyuks agent says former Red Wings star is at family cottage -- the end.

DETROIT Former Detroit Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk is not holed up at a Russian monastery where a priest has seized control and guarded the area with Cossacks after being told to stop services due to his Covid-19 conspiracy beliefs. He is at his cottage with his family, his agent Dan Milstein tweeted Thursday. Milstein posted a video of Dastyuk chopping wood -- Pavel Datsyuks morning workout and family breakfast at the cottage. Have a good summer everyone!Pavel Datsyuks morning workout and family breakfast at the cottage. pic.twitter.com/1GXfxqkm23 Dan Milstein-Hockey (@HockeyAgent1) June 18, 2020All this time I just assumed he was spending the summer in the great Russian outdoors fishing, but chopping wood is cool, too. I still believe hes spending most of his time trying to catch the big one.

Is Pavel Datsyuk returning to Red Wings a real possibility?

DETROIT Rumors of Pavel Datsyuk returning the NHL have been getting louder and louder this year. That's because his contract, which the Red Wings traded to the Arizona Coyotes in 2016, is about to expire this summer. Under Ken Holland, there had been discussion of a possible return to DET for next season. If he does decide to return to the NHL, it would have to be with the Red Wings . Newly-named Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman, who now faces a rebuilding project, could have another tough decision to make soon about someone also beloved by the fanbase.
