Where’s Hoffa? Deathbed confession about buried steel drum launches 2021 FBI probe seeking answer
DETROIT — The nearly half-century-old search for Jimmy Hoffa’s body led FBI agents from the Detroit office to focus on a former landfill beneath the Pulaski Skyway in Jersey City, The New York Times reported. The latest tip came during a deathbed confession from a worker who said Hoffa was buried in a steel drum 15 feet below ground there, the report stated. As was the case with the Jersey City investigation in October, those tips often involved probes at alleged burial sites. In Michigan most recently, authorities came up short during excavations at properties both in Roseville near Detroit in 2012 and Hampton Township in Bay County in 2003.
