17-year-old killed, 4 hurt in stabbings while tubing on Wisconsin river

SOMERSET, Wis. (AP) — A Minnesota teenager died and four other people were seriously hurt after being stabbed while tubing down a Wisconsin river, authorities said. St. Croix County Sheriff Scott Knudson the victims and suspect, a 52-year-old Prior Lake, Minnesota man, were all on the Apple River when the attack happened Saturday afternoon. Knudson said investigators were working to determine what led to the stabbings and whether the victims and suspect knew each other. The suspect was arrested about an hour and a half later while getting off the river downstream. “Another witness located him at the exit of the tubing area, where he was taken into custody.”A 17-year-old boy from Stillwater, Minnesota, died.

World's largest iceberg, equal to size of Somerset, breaks off Antarctica

The world’s largest iceberg, equal in size to Somerset and bigger than the Spanish island of Majorca, has splintered from the frozen edge `of Antarctica and is now adrift in the Weddell Sea. The new sheet of ice, designated A-76, measures approximately 4,320 square km (2,685m) and is significantly larger than the previous title-holder, A-23A, which stretched 3,380 square km (1,305m). The British Antarctic Survey initially spotted the floating berg after it broke off the western side of the Ronne Ice Shelf. Its movement was then confirmed by the European Space Agency’s using images from the Copernicus satellite. Thousands of penguins were threatened in November last year by what was then considered the largest iceberg as it came close to colliding with a remote South Atlantic island supporting sea life.

It would be lunchtime and I was there for one specific thing... their Reuben sandwich. Aside from Nello’s café in Royal Oak, I can’t think of another Reuben that was better than McCormick & Schmick’s. Sadly, McCormick & Schmick’s Reuben you cannot still get. If you want a Reuben, Nello’s Café in Royal Oak serves a mean one and they’re local.

Call for fire alarm leads Troy officers to bloody scene, home invasion and arson suspect

They arrived on scene and found a bloody scene on an apartment deck, including a large, bloody kitchen knife, and an open door and a screen ripped off. A trail of blood led to a nearby apartment building where officers discovered blood and broken glass that led to an open apartment, where the suspect was ultimately located. Officers were met by a screaming, nude man, covered in blood with a towel wrapped around one of his hands. Officers forced the door to the apartment open, and attempted to handcuff the man. During the investigation on scene, Troy dispatch received one call about a nude man walking around the area and acting strangely.

VIDEO: Police seek public assistance in identifying Grosse Pointe Park vandalism suspects

GROSSE POINTE PARK, Mich. - Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating six young men wanted on suspicion of vandalizing several cars. According to authorities, between 10 and 11 p.m. Tuesday, multiple cars were vandalized with spray paint by six young men on bikes.
