New Baltimore police received the call around 8:25 p.m. Wednesday from a home in the 36500 block of St. Clair Drive. A homeowner told police someone had set a large nylon flag on fire while it was mounted to the front of the home. He stopped, got out of his car, pulled the burning flag down and extinguished the flames, according to authorities. Officers believe the suspect might have gotten into a waiting vehicle at that location.
