Eric Trump is making stops at Hope Sports Complex in Lansing and ResLife Church in Grandville, Michigan. A EYE ON 2024The 2020 Republican National Convention is squarely focused on the election in 70 days. A RATINGS DISAPPOINTMENTRatings for the opening night of the convention trailed not just Trumps convention four years ago, but the Democrats convention last week. Foxs audience was up 238%, but Democratic convention viewership beat Republicans on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC. While MSNBC and CNN combined had just under 10 million viewers for Bidens first night, they had 3.6 million for Trump, Nielsen said. Trump on Tuesday complimented CNN for carrying nearly the entirety of the Monday night convention, implicitly chiding his favored Fox News for repeatedly breaking away from the scripted programming to conduct live interviews.

BIDENUnlike Trump, who planned events to counter the Democratic convention, the Biden campaign has not scheduled their candidate to make appearances during the GOP gathering.
