Stranger steps forward to help Metro Detroit man after thief takes $700 from wallet
WYANDOTTE, Mich. – A man was caught on camera taking money out of wallet sitting on a store counter. The wallet was accidentally left by a 72-year-old man at the Shopper’s Valley store in Wyandotte. The man said when he realized he left it, he rushed back and found it in the same place. The man said the money was saved up to pay for his property taxes. Wyandotte police located and arrested the man accused of stealing the money.
Oakland County deputies seeking 2 people in stealing wallet from 77-year-old woman in Rochester Hills
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for two people they said stole a wallet out of a 77-year-old woman’s purse in Rochester Hills. Deputies said the two individuals worked together to cause a distraction at a large retail store before taking the wallet. Deputies said the individuals then proceeded to drive to a nearby store and used the credit cards from the wallet. One individual is described by deputies as a White man wearing a red sweater and blue jeans, a mask covering his face and spoke with an accent. The other individual is described as a White man wearing an orange and black shirt with blue jeans and a mask covering his face.
Apple Card users can now buy an iPhone in installments with no interest
Starting on Tuesday, people who have an Apple Card can buy an iPhone in 24 monthly installments without paying interest. Under the program, monthly payments for a new iPhone from the Apple Store will get bundled into the minimum Apple Card payment in the iPhone's Wallet app, Apple said. "Installments are not subject to interest like other purchases made with Apple Card. Apple also announced Tuesday that Apple Card customers can get 6% cash back on purchases of Apple products through December 31.
