DETROIT – An 18-year-old man turned himself in to police in connection with the fatal shooting of two sisters Friday on Detroit’s east side. Police said the man was wanted in connection with a fatal double-shooting at a home on Lantz Street, near John R. Street, just south of State Fair Avenue. DETROIT – A family is grieving after two sisters were shot and killed in Detroit, days before Christmas. One of the women was a mother of a 5-year old boy. The family remembered the two sisters at a prayer vigil Tuesday night. It was much needed inspiration and encouragement for the Todd family as they remembered two sisters, 21-year old Shaniya Todd, who is also a mother, and her sister 18-year old sister Shakiya Todd. Police said an 18-year old man shot and killed both of the women on Dec. 18 inside a home on West Lantz Street after some kind of altercation.

DETROIT – Police are searching for an 18-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of two women Friday on Detroit’s east side. Police said the victims -- 21-year-old Shaniya Todd and 18-year-old Shakiya Todd -- were sisters and were killed when a fight turned into a shooting. They said they’re upset and confused, but hopeful that the information police released on the suspect could lead to an arrest. Police released a photo of a suspect wanted in connection with a Dec. 18, 2020 fatal shooting. Police said he shot and killed Shakiya Todd and her older sister, Shaniya Todd, who also is a young mother.

DETROIT – Police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed two women Friday on Detroit’s east side. They just lost their mother 10 month ago,” said Korlanos Todd. Police said an 18-year old man shot and killed the victims inside a home on West Lantz Street. Korlanos Todd said the two women were at the house to check on a woman who lived there. Obviously, it’s not going to bring them back but it would bring us some clarity and closure,” Korlanos Todd said.
