Jaxon Smith-Njigba had his NFL-leading fifth 100-yard receiving game of the season as the Seattle Seahawks beat the Houston Texans 27-19.

Jason Myers made a 52-yard field goal as time expired, Sam Darnold threw for 242 yards and a touchdown, and the Seattle Seahawks withstood a late rally by Kyler Murray and the Cardinals to beat Arizona 23-20.

Riq Woolen intercepted Caleb Williams’ late pass and the Seattle Seahawks boosted their fading playoff hopes, squeezing past Chicago 6-3 on Thursday night to hand the Bears their 10th straight loss.

Jordan Love threw two touchdown passes to Romeo Doubs and the Green Bay Packers ended Seattle’s four-game winning streak with a 30-13 victory over the Seahawks, who lost quarterback Geno Smith to a knee injury.

Jayden de Laura accounted for three touchdowns and had his fifth 300-yard passing game of the season as Arizona upset ninth-ranked UCLA 34-28 Saturday night, snapping an eight-game road losing streak against ranked teams.

Utah coach Kyle Whittingham has been named The Associated Press Pac-12 Coach of the Year for 2021.

Jake Haener threw for 455 yards, including the go-ahead touchdown pass to Jalen Cropper with 14 seconds remaining, and Fresno State upset No. 13 UCLA 40-37 at the Rose Bowl.

More than a dozen players transferred out of the Michigan football program this offseason, but three in particular stood out as high-profile losses.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Michigan has been good, not great, under coach Jim Harbaugh. Michigan defensive end Kwity Paye said the team is under the radar and has taken a lot of punches from people. Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel has said more than once that he wants Harbaugh to lead the Wolverines until he chooses to retire from coaching. Heading into his sixth season, though, Harbaugh has just two years left on a deal that pays him about $7 million per season. The Wolverines host rival Michigan State and its new coach, Mel Tucker, in their second game.

As a potential first-round draft pick, Mayfield certainly belongs in Michigan’s MVP conversation, even though he won’t stuff any stat sheets as an O-lineman. Even if he doesn’t ultimately win team MVP, Mayfield could end up being the most important player. ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Michigan football had a crowded running back room last season, and this year doesn’t figure to be any different as a familiar face and a talented freshman join Hassan Haskins and Zach Charbonnet. Four different players received more than 40 carries for Michigan last season: the aforementioned duo of Haskins and Charbonnet, along with Tru Wilson and Christian Turner. Michigan’s running back depth didn’t take a hit, though. Early last season, Charbonnet was the clear leader, as evidenced by his 33 carries in the double overtime win over Army. If there are any additional reps to go around behind Charbonnet, Haskins and Evans, Corum is the favorite to take them.

15 Michigan looks to build on its biggest win of the season when it visits Maryland on Saturday in Big Ten play. The Wolverines rolled up 303 rushing yards en route to an emphatic 45-14 win over then-No. Michigan has held four of its last five opponents to fewer than 65 rushing yards. Maryland extended its turnover streak to 20 straight games, which is the longest in the nation. PREDICTION: Michigan 35, Maryland 13

Giles Jackson returned the opening kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown to get things started for No. 14 Michigan, which used two first-half scoring runs by freshman Zach Charbonnet to pull away from Maryland in a 38-7 victory on Saturday. Wearing throwback uniforms from a far brighter era of Maryland football, the Terrapins absorbed an old-fashioned beatdown on homecoming. That led to a three-and-out and a short punt. In the opener against Middle Tennessee State, that's exactly what happened. 3 cornerback spot behind Lavert Hill and Ambry Thomas, and he was tested right away against Middle Tennessee State's spread offense. If Gray continues to improve, Michigan will have a strong top-three cornerbacks and plenty of talent for the future.

7 Michigan went on to beat Middle Tennessee 40-21 Saturday night. Michigan made it 40-14 with Dylan McCaffrey's 6-yard run late in the third quarter and Ben Van Sumeren's 1-yard run with 6:37 left. Patterson was 17 of 29 for 203 yards with TD passes to Tarik Black, Nico Collins and Sean McKeon. McCaffrey completed both of his passes for 17 yards and ran for 42 yards along with a score.
