2 people injured after vehicle crashes into laundromat in Oakland County

No one inside the laundromat was injured

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Two people were injured after a vehicle crashed into a laundromat Tuesday in Independence Township.

The 74-year-old woman driving the vehicle was taken to the hospital for treatment. Another driver, 68, was also taken to the hospital.

“We just heard a big explosion, and when I walked out, I saw the car inside the laundromat,” said Virginia Dorse. “I ran outside and was checking on the lady in the car and then other people were checking on the other car.”

No one inside the laundromat was hurt.

Officials are investigating the circumstance of the incident.
