DETROIT – A Detroit Department of Transportation bus was involved in a crash Friday morning on Morang Avenue near I-94.
Police said the bus crashed into a woman who already was involved in a separate crash at Morang Avenue and Marne Street, which is about three blocks west of I-94.
The 34-year-old woman who was driving a Dodge Journey is in critical condition. Detroit police said the Journey first struck a Dodge Avenger. The two drivers were exchanging information when the DDOT bus slammed into the woman.
Police said the woman was outside of her vehicle when she was struck by the bus.
No other injuries have been reported. It's unclear if any passengers were on the bus at the time of the crash.
The crash is under investigation.
