Detroit family still searching for answers 7 years after loved one killed on Fourth of July
A Detroit family is still waiting for justice — seven years after a gunman shot and killed their 29-year-old loved one on the Fourth of July. On July 4, 2019, Darius Burton was shot near East Seven Mile and Mound on Detroit's east side. He was rushed to St. John Hospital, where he died. The suspect fled in a bluish-gray Ford Fusion and has never been caught. Crime Stoppers is offering up to $3,000 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with tips is asked to come forward.
