Police reveal new details in triple homicide at gas station on Detroit’s west side

In the triple shooting investigation on Detroit's west side. The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office will not be pressing charges against the shooter. Local 4 first brought you this case at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Police say three people died: siblings Trevor and Jasmine Sheeler, and Lester Owens III. Family members told our Erika Erickson that the three were out celebrating a birthday when the shooting broke out. However, Detroit police are pushing back on birthday party claims, saying the three victims were involved in drag racing. Officers also told the victim was allegedly seen pointing a gun at the person who ended up being the shooter.
