Family reunites with Detroit firefighter who saved their mother from burning car

Detroit firefighter Donald Faulkner rescued Latashia Collins from a burning car in January, breaking a window and pulling her to safety with help from his crew. Collins suffered severe injuries, including third-degree burns, multiple fractures, and the loss of her fingers, but is now beginning her long recovery. Collins and her family recently reunited with Faulkner to thank him, as the fire department honored his heroism. Her family emphasized the sacrifices firefighters make and their gratitude for Collins’s survival.
