Most women don't know they're at higher risk for Alzheimer's. Here's what to do.

A new Cleveland Clinic report highlights major gaps in women’s health, particularly regarding financial concerns, lack of preventative care, and limited awareness of health risks like Alzheimer’s disease and menopause. Nearly half of women surveyed worry about affording healthcare as they age, and many do not realize their elevated risks for dementia or the multi-system impacts of menopause. The report also notes that about one-third of women have skipped primary care visits in the past two years, risking missed early detection of diseases. Experts emphasize the importance of managing cardiovascular risk factors, mental health, and regular checkups to support women’s health as they age.
