Family of missing Detroit woman gets the search they've been fighting for -- 3 years later

Thirteen law enforcement agencies, including Detroit Police, the FBI, and State Police, are conducting a major search operation called Operation United Block on Detroit’s east side, focusing on missing persons. The search, centered around Pingree Park and covering 25 vacant homes and lots, is primarily aimed at finding 33-year-old Shanika Brewer, who has been missing for over three years. Brewer was last seen visiting a friend’s house on Sheridan near Forest, and her family has expressed frustration over the lack of help in the past. Authorities plan to continue searching the area for at least two days, determined to find answers for the families of the missing.
