Handgun found in child's backpack at school

Sterling Heights police are investigating after a handgun was found in a preschool student’s bag this morning. The student is part of the Headstart program at Schwarzkoff Elementary School. Police are currently working with school administrators to determine how the weapon ended up in the student’s bag.
